Rutgers University has just announced a historic, transformative open access partnership with leading publisher Elsevier. The five-year arrangement managed by the Rutgers University Libraries (RUL) will provide the Rutgers community with read access to over 4,600 journals, 1,400 of which are fully open access.
In addition, Rutgers researchers will be able to publish open access articles without incurring Article Processing Charges (APCs) in any of Elsevier’s 1,700 hybrid journals (those with both open access and subscription content). View details of the agreement between Rutgers University and Elsevier here. The anticipated overall APC savings is expected to exceed $7 million, and several Elsevier journals are among the top journals for several disciplines!
