Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey’s Cancer Immunology and Metabolism Center of Excellence is bringing patients with cancer new hope. At this webinar, learn how the center is combining revolutionary new therapies with a personalized approach to increase survival rates for cancer patients as never before.
“Winning the Fight: How Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey is Personalizing Cancer Therapies to Turn Patients into Survivors” will feature Christian Hinrichs, co-director of the center, and cancer survivor Aricca Wallace. Their talk is part of the Robert E. Campbell Endowed Lecture series.
Hinrichs came to Rutgers from the National Cancer Institute, where he pioneered the use of patient immune cells to treat HPV-associated cancers, including cancer of the cervix and throat. He developed new technologies to make T cells target a range of common cancers, including those of the stomach, lungs, and breast. The new treatments based on these discoveries will be offered at Rutgers in first-in-human clinical trials.
